I’m not a big shopper. I know, an odd trait in a DIY / Lifestyle Blogger, but it’s true. Case in point, we just got a HUGE Outlet complex in South Asheville about ten miles from my house and I have no desire to visit it. I may darken their doors sometime in December 2015, but we’ll see.
I’m particularly not much of a clothes shopper. When I do shop it’s because I’m on a Mission. And almost always that Mission involves something for my home.
So while we were on the Coast I hit a couple of my favorite haunts.
It is important to note that we do not have either of these places on Asheville NC.
I love this place! Especially the tableware aisles!
Here’s my haul!
Yep, those are Ballards fabrics! OTP has a couple of tables (not a huge selection) of fabric remnants . . . wait for it.
For $5.99/ yard!!!

Lord, I could not get that fabric in my cart fast enough.
I would have loved me some drapery panels made out of this medallion linen fabric! Alas, there was only 1 3/4 yards of it.
I also found these reversible placemats and maching napkins for a great price. They coordinate very well with the new wall color in the dining room.
I’ll be breaking these out on Mother’s Day.
The two big salad bowls were for Big Daddy. He’s been asking for some for a while and these were perfect.

That just leaves my impulse buy.
This is also odd, for me.
I originally got them just to use as props for styling photos. Now I’m drinking my coffee out of them every day since they came in the door! I love them and I’m even using the little plates.
The inpulse part was the price. At 50% off each piece was a whopping $1.25.

The cups and desert plates are a lovely aqua color, not as blue as in the pictures.
They are made by Thomson Pottery and the pattern is called Vera Haze.
Oh, one more thing.
Something fun for that dresser ala Hobby Lobby! That’s also where I got the braided burlap cording to use for the pulls on the striped night table in my last post. And I found new pulls for the Bombe Chest.
That is the LEAST I have ever walk out of a Hobby Lobby with in my life.
These are right outside my front door.

We don't have an OTP here in our town.
I love the fabrics…and those Aqua cups have my name on them. This is my new favorite color in the world.:)
I don't like shopping for clothes, either…but LOVE shopping for the house.
Wonderful thing…hubby gave me a $100. gift card at Hobby Lobby and I can't wait to choose something. I want something BIG…no little stuff. 🙂
