I get a lot of questions about the fabrics I have used throughout our home, specifically the pillow fabrics. The year Big Daddy gave me a sewing machine for Christmas I was elated!!! He glanced down at the diamonds on my left hand and just shook his head :). From that day forward I have been a pillow making nut job. But I am also very thrifty when it comes to the fabric I select for our home. Like everybody else on the face of the Earth, I start by immersing myself in Pinterest to the point that it would take a stick of dynamite to break my concentration. Once I have my basic design and colors in my crazy little head the hunt is on.
And I am relentless.

This navy buffalo check from Premier Fabrics is the absolute most asked about fabric in my home.
You can find it here:
Let me just say that I love this fabric.
The weight and hand are always important and this one is just perfect. I recently ordered this same fabric in black and white for another project and am just as happy!
Here’s the link to that one:
While putting this post together I also stumble upon another great source of ready made pillow covers!
These pillow covers are made from the same Premier Fabrics in multiple sizes and they have a zipper closure. They come in several other colors and patterns as well, even a blue ticking stripe. Plus they all ship for $2.25, for ALL sizes.
I gotta order some of these. The red buffalo check ones would be great at Christmas:)))
The other question I get pretty often in about the fabric of the pillows on my bed and in out living room.
Now I found this fabric at Hancock Fabrics as it was closing its doors here in Asheville. It was something like $29 a yard. As I was writing this post I came across it on line for under $20! Here is that link:
I dearly love this fabric and have never regretted that price either.
I would do it again in a heartbeat.
I hope these links help!
