Big Daddy and I spent the last week on the coast of South Carolina doing exactly what we love to do,
which is nothing.
Well, as close to nothing as we could get. We spent our days on the sand under an umbrella watching the waves roll in, our late afternoons napping and our evenings eating really good fish and shellfish. Our biggest decision was who’s turn it was to run up to our bedroom and make us another bag of snack mix (cheese puffs, Tabasco Cheese-its and mixed nuts, all in one ziplock!) This is a perfect Spring vacation for us. Alas, tomorrow the party is over and we are being forced to go back to our regularly scheduled lives:((((((
We did manage to hit an antique shop or two and I found a really cool piece of blue transfer ware to add to my small but growing collection.
I found this tureen lid in multivendor antique store for $5.
Big Daddy looked at me like I had (yet again) lost my mind. I found a second one in the same booth in brown. I felt like I’d hit the jackpot. He felt like I forgot half of my purchase back in that booth!
I love the details in the sweet little handle 🙂
I also wrought home this Wedgwood little covered dish for two bucks.
So while I was doing all of our laundry from our trip I switched out the Spring/ bunny /egg stuff in the china cabinet for all of my blue transfer ware.
My collection is growing :))))
Enjoy the week ahead,
