I spent a little time today playing around my house, just switching out this for that. ‘Putting & Taking’, my friend Rena calls it. My Mama used to refer to it as ‘Playing House’.
What ever, it’s fun!
This wordrobe came into this house several months ago and I’ve done nothing with it, except make it a catch-all. I have a brand new quart of paint for it, just sitting on the counter separating. So today I at least straitened up and made it look pretty!
My $1 boxwood wreath has found a home! This wardrobe is big, so I knew it would take something substantial to go over it. I had to put a nail I the wall.
Big Daddy was not amused.
This little lamp was a $5 Goodwill find. The little burlap shade came from Walmart and it might have been $8. My point is, all this stuff was either in my house or out in my garage. Which was good because I was still in my feety pajamas for MUCH of the day.
These particular books I found at a rummage sale to benifit a private charter school for $1 each. Once again, I paid for them and ran!
This pretty tureen was a Christmas gift many years ago from my sweet husband. It is my favorite vessel for floral center pieces.
I’m truly enjoying this big ol’ cabnet in my kitchen. One side is for hanging clothes but the other side is all shelves. This is where I store all my paints, waxes and other craft supplies now. Much better than all over my kitchen counter.
Happy Weekend y’all!
