O I have a little stockpile of smaller pieces of furniture that I’ve been slowly working through for the past few months. Particularly during the winter months when I didn’t have yard sales to fall back on for inventory or when it was cold and yuckie out and I just didn’t want to get out in the weather.
This was one of those pieces.
That poor rooster was been all over this house
There wasn’t a thing wrong with the console, I was just tired of it. Also, we had rearranged our living room and didn’t us it anymore.
It is made of yellow pine. I sanded the old finish off the top and after wiping it down really well I wiped on Annie Sloan Dark Wax.
The apron of the table was a teal-ish blue before I painted it with MMS milk paint in Ironstone. Again I got no chipping so I got out the sandpaper
I may have to try that Vaseline resist technique
I do really like how that blue came through!
Now I think it’s time for someone else to love this table.
We sure did
My little companion tonight!
See y’all later in the week
